5600 Series Seating Mechanism

Application:

Two-piece, swivel tilt seating requiring separate seat and back mounting capability with a tension adjustable mechanism that offers reduced front edge rise an separate gas lift, tilt lock, and at-rest angle adjustment levers.

Features:

• This unique mechanism configuration takes full advantage of synchronized ratio geometry and successfully combines the benefits gained from a forward-biased pivot location.
• The tilt range has been engineered to provide adequate spring tension and adjustability while maintaining even support throughout the entire travel range, satisfying a full spectrum of user sizes and weights.
• A full 22° of tilt travel enables users to achieve a wide variety of positions common in multi-task seating.
• The three-position front stop feature allows users to select a task position of -2°, a normal at-rest position of +1/2°, or a conference position of +3°.
• The multiple-position tilt lock feature is designed with a non-launching safety feature and is easily accessed from the seated position.
• This mechanism will accept various J-Back sizes from 3" to 4" wide and up to 3/8" thick. The J-Back is attached to the mechanism with three carriage bolts and three hex head Whiz Lock nuts.
